Positive Reviews
positive:
Inside the City walls.
Most guests find Osborne Hotel ideally situated for exploring Valletta; being just a few hundred metres from the main drag- Republic Street, a short walking distance from most of the top attractions in the city, among cafes, shops and restaurants and with easy access to the rest of the island with the bus terminus a few minutes walk away.
positive:
Rooftop views.
The rooftop terrace and plunge pool is a great place to while away a few hours. Views are stunning across the rooftops of Valletta and the harbour and rooms on the upper floors enjoy the same vista.
positive:
Refurbished character building.
Osborne has been subject to recent refurbishment and, while it is full of charm and character with its imposing facade, rooms are modern with excellent facilities. Air conditioning works well, minibars are included in upgraded rooms and décor is simple, yet pleasant.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Paying for (poor) Wi-Fi.
One bugbear for many in this day and age is paying for Wi-Fi and, unfortunately, the Osborne Hotel does so. Equally as disappointing is the fact that, of those who opt to purchase, most find the service wholly inadequate for their needs, with slow speeds.
negative:
Breakfast could be improved.
Several guests have suggested that the breakfasts at the hotel could be improved as, while there is a relatively generous amount of choice, the quality of the produce can vary. There are, however, numerous cafes nearby for a good alternative start to the day.
negative:
More soundproofing needed.
Some have suggested that soundproofing could be improved at the hotel. If you find yourself staying on a lower floor you may experience noise disturbance from people passing or your fellow neighbours.
