The Cumberland Hotel has been gracing St John Street in Valletta since the late 16th century. Originally built and inhabited as a majestic city palazzo, it was later converted into a hotel. Whilst respecting as much of the original features as possible, the new hotel now offers 22 uniquely styled and individually decorated rooms and suites, making it one of the most attractive boutique accommodation options available in the city of Valletta. The Cumberland is centrally located just two minutes away from St John’s Cathedral, easily accessible via taxi just outside the hotel main door and is surrounded by cultural landmarks, museums, bars and cafes, with everything else that Valletta has to offer within short walking distance. Taxis and the national hub of the public transport network are just a few minutes away outside the city walls. All Suites are equipped to a high standard of interior design and amenities. Wi-Fi is also complementary in all rooms and public areas. Each room has a safe to secure your personal belongings, a flat screen TV as well as a telephone to contact reception and any other external numbers. A mini bar is also provided in all Suites with items at a charge and a complimentary coffee machine.
