Positive Reviews
positive:
In the heart of the medina
Though a few minutes walk from Jamaa El Fna, guests described
the riad as being very much in the centre of the medina. They clearly loved the
location, both due to the proximity to Marrakech's sights and the vibrant
streetlife in the area.
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
Again and again guests mentioned how friendly and helpful the staff at the riad were. To guests it seemed as if they took a genuine interested in their wellbeing and helped and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
positive:
Authentic Moroccan atmosphere
While this typically applies to all riads, several guests mentioned that they appreciated that the atmosphere was authentically Moroccan, rather than the more anonymous “international” atmosphere to be found at many hotels.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very difficult to find
While guests conceded that this applied to almost any riad in the medina, a great many had enormous difficulty finding it among the warren if streets. It was suggested that a good airport transfer be arranged when arriving, and that one fully familiarises oneself with the surroundings before heading off to explore.
negative:
Wi-Fi a bit spotty
Though not mentioned often, a few guests did say that the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to reach every room, and that even when they were close enough to the router the system would be quite temperamental.
negative:
A little cold in winter
A couple of guests travelling in the winter months mentioned that their rooms were a bit cold. It seems that there is either no in-room heating, or that it is inadequate when the weather is particularly cold.
