Hotel Las Brisas Acapulco (Acapulco, Mexico)

Situated halfway between downtown Acapulco and the airport, this locale is on the middle of a mountainside.  Every unit has an excellent view of Santa Lucia Bay, but the higher you get, the more phenomenal.  There are two salt water pools with live fish and crab in them, a spa, gym, a business center, two restaurants and a bar on-site.  A boxed breakfast with pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee is delivered every morning to your room.

Get a unit with a private pool if you can.  Clean and well-equipped, the casitas have wonderful air conditioning, cable television, comfy beds, mini-bars, bathrobes, spacious patios and windows with large wooden shutters - leave your shutters open at night and in the morning you'll awaken to one of the most breathtaking views in the world.  Staff scatter fresh flower petals around the pools and villas daily.

Friendly and helpful staff are available at all times.  From reception to housekeeping to the spa team, flower decorating staff and bell hops, you can expect top level service throughout.  Some of them ride the grounds in signature pink and white Jeeps, ready to pick guests up within minutes and take them wherever they'd like to go on the grounds (the property is located on a mountainside, so travel can be tricky at times.)

Some reported maintenance issues and terribly outdated decor needing prompt renovation throughout.

You'll be far from the bustle here, and many attractions require a taxi ride, which can get expensive.  Some guests recommended getting rental cars instead.

They charge for daily Wi-Fi and automatic daily service fees even if you don't request any services.  Wi-Fi works well in the morning, but evenings are a bust.
