Positive Reviews
positive:
Rooms are great.
Rooms are spacious and very clean. Even with four people in, there’s plenty of room. The ambience is such that leisure and business guests can quickly relax into the atmosphere that has been created. Members of staff deserve a mention; not only are they pleasant, helpful and efficient, but problems relating to the room and Wi-Fi are dealt with promptly; whatever the time – day or night.
positive:
Good start to the day.
Breakfast is great. Plentiful and with choices to suit even the fussiest eater. There’s no shortage of later dining restaurants, plus there’s a great supermarket directly opposite.
positive:
Highs and Lows.
Rooms at lower levels are ideal for business guests needing to get in and out very quickly. For more leisurely stays, go for a room on a higher floor. They’re quieter with more privacy. There is a car park - great! - but no guarantee of a space - not so good. Prepare to be faced with parking nearby and incurring a charge.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A down and out lift … and a low-dive.
The lift is extremely slow and waiting for it to materialise is a time-waster in an already busy day. It’s good that they’ve got a pool, although it is very much on the small side. There’s no direct lift access to the pool area, though. which is a bit of a pain.
negative:
Dubious surroundings.
As night falls, you become aware that the immediate area isn’t all that it should be. A bit of a red light district, but not sufficient to make it seriously worrying.
negative:
Too much ‘pressure’.
The water pressure in the bathroom shower is far too strong and – with days to go! – the front-desk people are forever reminding you of the checkout time! Also, the lift is extremely slow and waiting for it to materialise is a time-waster in an already busy day.
