Positive Reviews
positive:
Parisian atmosphere.
This hotel is a great example of a typical Parisian experience. The atmosphere and ambiance is charming and perfectly blends the best of modern accommodations with old-world quirks of a period building. It's not only clean and functional, but provides a l
positive:
Busy, but safe location.
The streets outside teem with tourists and travellers and gives a great sense of the heartbeat of the busy Paris city. However, the streets around the hotel are very safe for walks and strolls, even at night.
positive:
Close to everything.
The hotel is close to everything a traveller would need. Within walking distance are countless restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as train stations, bus lines, airports, airport shuttles, and the metro.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Compact accommodations.
Like many older buildings, the rooms are not spacious in the hotel. The small bedrooms match the tiny bathrooms. There is nothing missing as far as features are concerned, but the space is extremely compact.
negative:
Street noise.
Staying on the busy city streets may be extremely convenient, but is also extremely loud. The street noise can be heard in the rooms and the noise at night, especially from traffic and outside, open restaurants, is bothersome when trying to sleep.
negative:
The best feature is affordability.
Cheaper hotel rates often mean a decrease in quality and comfort and that is the case here. Many luxury features are absent from the hotel experience and guests will have to endure musty, damp smells, slow Wi-Fi, and beds which are standard and no more.
