    It’s wonderful that pets are allowed at Parklands, especially if you like to travel with your favourite canine companion. Your dog will love it too, because there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door.

    This is a non-smoking property which is great if you don’t imbibe and like your accommodations smelling fresh rather than like stale, second-hand smoke.

    A friendly, well-appointed and knowledgeable staff welcomes you in and is there for you for the duration of your stay. They are happy to accommodate most any request and can point you in the direction of popular local sights and great places to dine.

    Many of the guest rooms here are quiet, but if you are looking for a good night’s sleep be sure to ask for a room well-away from the train tracks where the constant noise from passing trains can keep you up at night.

    There are times when the guest rooms can be overly hot or overly cold, which is an unpredictable feature of this hotel. Unfortunately, you have no option but to open a window when it’s too stuffy, which might make for a noisy night. And extra blankets are your only option if it’s too cold for you.
