Positive Reviews
positive:
A fun place to take the family.
Guests really enjoyed the variety of things to do here, and amenities were said to be up to par. Some guests didn't want to leave, especially with the emphasis on family activities in addition to a nice and relaxing time. And by all accounts, you just can't beat the ski-in, ski-out aspect of At Squaw Creek, which was a major plus.
positive:
Incredible scenery.
There was nothing not to like about the expansive views and superb opportunities to encounter nature. Many guests described views from rooms as breathtaking, and were ready to return for the large amount of outdoor space right at their doorstep.
positive:
Pleasant staff.
Hotel personnel worked hard to create a positive experience for guests, and great hospitality was a delight for many. Requests were met with positive attitudes, and guests said that staff couldn't have been more friendly.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lots of outside time.
In addition to spending time making the most of the great outdoors, guests found themselves outside for reasons that they never anticipated. In order to access a number of amenities, it was necessary to walk outside, and a few guests were inconvenienced with an uncomfortable walk to the outdoor pool and even fitness center. A covered walkway from the shops would have also been appreciated by some.
negative:
Food not a highlight.
There was certainly a lot of choice for places to eat, but several guests were let down by food that they felt was overpriced and just not that tasty. Meals seemed to be inconsistent here, and some guests decided to explore other options.
negative:
Some views are better than others.
If you want to make the most of the superb views, request a room above the second floor. Some guests were disappointed with windows that overlooked shop rooftops and air-conditioning units.
