Many guests appreciated being a stone's throw from local amenities such as cafes and restaurants as well as the hotel's own general store which is across the road from the main building. Those who were keen to visit the centre of town found it handy having the tram stop literally on their doorstep.

The hotel has several dining facilities which the guests found very convenient as they were able to choose from a wide range of options.
