A beautiful location
Slane Farm Hostel is located in the heart of the Boyne Valley which is breathtakingly beautiful. Slane Castle is close at hand as are many other points of interest both and despite the fact that you are put in the country, you are still within walking distance of local restaurants, pubs and shops.

The staff is wonderful
The staff here is warm and welcoming. They cannot do enough for you and are happy to point you in the direction of restaurants, pubs and local shops as well as the must-see tourist destinations that pepper this area.
positive:
Pets are welcome
It's great that this hostel welcomes pets because so many people like to travel with their favourite four-legged friends. The open countryside is right outside your door, which is great for walking your pooch.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping is hit or miss
Sometimes the housekeeping staff here is thorough and sometimes it really missed the mark. Although the bathrooms are cleaned daily, with so many people using them it seems it is hard to keep them in pristine shape. This was mostly true for the campsite, but dormitory guests also commented on this.
negative:
Water temperatures can be uncomfortable
The water temperatures in the showers tend to run on the cold side which could make showering uncomfortable.
negative:
The Wi-Fi is spotty
The Internet connection on property can be slow and spotty which could be problematic if you want to get an email out in a hurry or use your devices on demand. This is especially true if you're staying at the camping area.
