Excellent Staff
Staff can leave lasting impressions of a hotel and for guests at Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place, the impressions were excellent. Guests had high praise for the staff's courteous and helpful assistance and pleasant attitudes and some guests say that this would be one reason for a return visit.

Close & Convenient
Within a short walk of the hotel there are several museums, a sculpture garden and numerous shops and restaurants . Guests enjoyed this convenience and found the location one of the best things about the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place. Convenience to the highway, airport and to downtown Springfield were also pluses.

Drift Off In Comfort
Guests described the beds as extremely comfortable and the linens as top of the line and luxurious. They loved the billowy pillows and most enjoyed a restful stay.

Dull and Seedy After Dark
While most guests loved the hotel's surrounding area in daylight hours, some reported feeling a little unsafe after dark. Others noted there is little to do in the immediate area after 5 p.m. and few evening dining options within walking distance.

Despite comfortable beds, some guests at the hotel were kept awake by traffic noise from the streets below. Other guests complained that older rooms have poor insulation and need better soundproofing.

One of the biggest complaints about this hotel involved parking fees. While management noted that paid parking is typical for downtown hotels, some guests described the practice as penny pinching and exorbitant, others said they would not return to the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place for this reason alone.
