Positive Reviews
positive:
Interesting design, basic value.
Aparion Hamburg was thought to have an interesting exterior design and basic, but well-arranged open-plan interiors. Furthermore, the price was thought to be decent, so not a bad proposition for business travellers or those travelling on a budget.
positive:
Close to Messe Hamburg, S-bahn station.
These apartments are said to located conveniently close to Messe Hamburg and there is either free on-street parking, or paid private parking available on site. A handful of fast food restaurants are also found in the vicinity, as well as a S-bahn station for accessing the attractions of Hamburg.
positive:
Clean, comfortable and secure.
Guests found the lodgings here to be minimalistic, but clean, secure and sporting passable kitchens facilities — which is handy since there are apparently several supermarkets close by.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No Wi-Fi or air conditioning.
A fair number of Aparion Hamburg guests were unhappy to find there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but at least there is LAN internet available or you could choose to surf the net at McDonalds. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning was another disappointment.
negative:
Infrequent cleaning and hard to find staff.
Since it seems cleaning, bin emptying and changing of towels and linen happens only once every seventh day, guests were occasionally displeased with standards of cleanliness. They also mentioned it was sometimes hard to find anyone at reception and the room instructions being provided only in German did not help much, either.
negative:
Street noise can be disruptive.
A few of those who stayed mentioned that noise from traffic on the busy street can be disruptive, even when high up. For that reason perhaps request a room facing in the other direction, or take earplugs.
