The staff members are gracious and hospitable, while remaining unobtrusive. They are well-trained hospitality professionals with a good customer service ethic, much appreciated by guests.

There are no less than six restaurants on the property, offering a wide choice of eating options, with something for every taste. Various international cuisines are offered. Opinion on the food varies - while some guests thoroughly enjoy it, others say it could improve.

The guests here appreciate the facilities offered, from the outdoor pool to the spa/sauna. There is a variety of free activities within the resort and there are some charged activities in nearby locations such as snorkelling on the Riviera Maya beaches. The spa and fitness center within the hotel here is also very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, seaweed has found its way into this gorgeous beach, making it difficult to have fun and spoiling the beach's natural beauty. In fairness, this is a problem in most of the Caribbean area and the hotel tries to get it cleaned as far as possible. Also, the pool area can become crowded, so it is necessary to come early to get a good place there.

Unfortunately, connectivity could be unpredictable owing to an intermittent Wi-Fi signal, which might not be a problem for those seeking solitude, but for those who need regular connectivity, it is definitely a big problem.

The hotel has a strict dress code for the restaurants. One might like to dress down and relax on vacation, but it is necessary to dress up for dinner. Men in particular are advised to pack plenty of collared shirts because they will not be served if not wearing one. Also, be sure to pack some covered shoes for similar reasons.
