This resort is quite a walk from all the action on the other side of the island, where the majority of the bars, restaurants and shops are. If you plan on going out a lot in the evening consider staying closer to the harbour.
Breakfast here can be a bit chaotic, with many people jostling to get their share of the buffet. Fresh food doesn't come out quick enough so you can end up waiting while the chefs cook up another batch of eggs.
Unfortunately Ombak Sunset does not offer a very reliable or fast Wi-Fi connection. The internet is notoriously slow on Gili Trawangan and this resort follows the trend. Try to avoid using it completely unless you want to get frustrated.
