Many guests who have stayed at the hotel have commented on the service offered by front of house staff. Generally, the service is very personal with some staff members even remembering guests names and drinks of choice.

Guests who have upgraded to the Club Premium package have given great feedback on it. For an extra fee, guests will be entitled to many perks including a private lounge, unlimited a la carte dining, early check-in and a welcome package in your room or suite on arrival.

Guests feel that the Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos is one of the cleanest around, with housekeeping staff working tirelessly to ensure that both bedrooms and communal areas are kept spotless.

As with some other Barceló hotels, some guests are surprised that the Wi-Fi offered is not free of charge. Some guests have also commented that the connection is not fantastic with service regularly being reported as slow.

Although not the fault of the hotel, some guests have been disappointed on arrival to learn that the beach is not suitable for swimming due to a strong current. Those wanting to swim in the ocean may wish to consider alternative hotels.

Some guests have commented that the variety of food offered in the hotel's buffet restaurant is not as wide as most all-inclusive resorts. That said, there are a few a la carte restaurants for guests to take advantage off should the choice in the buffet restaurant not be to your taste.
