Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent value for money.
Hotels in London rarely come cheap but the Premier Inn London Southwark Tate Modern at least manages to remain competitive. You’ll pay extra for parking but that’s usually to be expected in the capital. Free Wi-Fi and free meals for kids add value.
positive:
Impressive guest accommodation.
The majority of guests seem reasonably impressed by the standard of the hotel rooms. You’ll find they are kept clean and offer comfortable surroundings that are perfectly adequate for a few nights or perhaps longer. The new beds and the air-con are among the stand-out amenities.
positive:
Friendly service.
The standard of customer service at this hotel seems to be a definite highlight. The check in and room allocation runs smoothly and comes complete with a friendly welcome. Also, staff are knowledgeable about the local area and are happy to offers tips and advice.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some noise.
Noise doesn't seem to be a huge problem but you shouldn't plan to escape it entirely. London is very rarely a quiet place to stay! Lessen your chances of being disturbed by asking for a room on one of the upper floors and packing earplugs just in case.
negative:
Extra beds in family rooms are disappointing.
Although the new Hypnos beds have proved a big hit with guests, the same can’t be said for the camp beds provided in family rooms. Guests describe them as uncomfortable and inadequate. The hotel offered refunds in some cases, but most parents would just prefer their children were able to sleep well.
negative:
Windows are sealed shut.
The air-conditioning in the guest rooms ensures that you won’t feel too hot at this hotel. Still, the fact that the windows are sealed shut did bother some guests who would have preferred to enjoy a little fresh air during their stay.
