The hotel has retained the old characteristics of the building, but at the same time, has kept it up to modern standards. They've merged the hotel with a bar and restaurant, giving it a hip, chic feel. The guests also enjoyed the internal courtyard and the open air veranda.

The hotel serves breakfast and tapas, which guest appreciated for its taste and convenience. Guests liked the breakfast options that included meat, cheese, bread and made-to-order egg dishes. Diners also raved about the restaurant and its excellent customer service.

The windowless rooms can get very spartan and dark without access to outside light. There is no view and the rooms can feel small.

This hotel is located on a busy street. So visitors noted that the street noise, the sound of tourists at restaurants and the beeping of the cars aren't conducive to a good night's sleep. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper and try to avoid getting a room that faces the front of the building.

Guests on the third floor said that Wi-Fi connection was non-existent. Others say that the Internet worked better when they were on the lower floors. The shaky connection made it difficult for business travellers to get their work done.
