Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly management.
While some guests seemed to encounter the hotel manager after he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, most experienced friendly customer service. Some even experienced service that went above and beyond, including being given the manager's cell phone number should any problems arise.
positive:
Close to the action.
If you want to be minutes away from roller coasters on the pier, the beach, and great shops and restaurants, this might be the hotel for you. Some of the best of Wildwood is right outside the Knolls Resort door. Neighboring Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood, with the same abundance of outdoor activities, including sport fishing and blue crab trapping, are both under ten minutes away.
positive:
Two night booking policy.
During peak times, many area hotels require guests to book rooms for a minimum of three nights. Some guests liked the flexibility of this hotel, with its two-night booking policy during busy summer weekends.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tight parking.
Many guests of this hotel drove to Wildwood for a weekend of fun in the sun on the boardwalk. Lots of cars in the free parking lot meant that parking was sometimes a harrowing experience, with drivers of larger vehicles holding their breath while they avoided scraping neighboring cars.
negative:
Rooms in need of a refresh.
A makeover might be overdue at Knolls Resort. While some guests were pleased with their accommodation, others were taken aback by dirty quarters that were worn out and tired. Stains on the carpet and dilapidated furniture were a few of the concerns encountered by guests.
negative:
Smokers have to smoke somewhere.
With a non-smoking policy in guest rooms, some visitors to this hotel noticed fellow guests smoking in abundance near the pool and outside of rooms. This sometimes caused a nuisance for guests who would rather not experience second hand smoke or littered cigarette butts.
