Positive Reviews
positive:
Conveniently located near the station...
Few guests fail to mention the hotel's exceptionally convenient location near the city's central station. It offers underground, bus and rail links to just about anywhere you'd care to go in Frankfurt, including a direct trip to the airport. There are also all sorts of restaurants nearby, and most attractions (the cathedral, museum embankment, the Zeil) are within walking distance as well.
positive:
Good beds and breakfast...
The hotel offers a variety of room classes; the Superior and Privilege rooms are more widely described as spacious, well decorated and modern. Many travellers enjoy a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds, and also appreciate the varied (though not inexpensive) breakfast. The fresh honeycomb there for the slicing is a highlight.
positive:
Professional, hospitable staff
Many guests have described the hotel's front desk staff as polite, efficient, and professional. The coffee and croissants available in the lobby are a welcoming touch as well.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Steamy summer nights in Frankfurt...
There is no air-conditioning in the standard rooms, a great source of discomfort for guests booked in during the summer, as opening the windows lets in quite a bit of street noise from the nearby bars. These rooms are also smaller and less recently renovated, often described as "dull" or "dreary."
negative:
Turn on the red light...
Guests have described the area immediately surrounding the hotel as "a bit seedy," bordering on the red light district and popular with the city's homeless.
negative:
Drive on...
Drivers have been irritated to find there is no place to park temporarily while checking in, and the closest public garage is widely considered fairly expensive. There's also no bar on the property.
