Positive Reviews
positive:
Close to downtown
The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown San
Francisco. It’s centrally located in a very urban part of the neighborhood as
well as public transportation. But guests say it’s not ideal to walk around the
hotel neighborhood at night.
positive:
Affordable for young travelers
With its bargain rates and no-frills style, this hotel in the middle of San Francisco is ideal for young, solo travelers. This hotel is fairly affordable compared with the rates in the Bay Area.
positive:
Good for basic amenities
Guests said the hotel provided the basics including a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and Wi-Fi. While you can’t expect luxury here, you can find yourself the basics to get by during your stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No parking at the hotel
This hotel has no parking so guests lamented that they had to find metered parking on the street and walk quite a bit to load and unload. The neighborhood did not appear to be the safest area for people having to go back and forth from the car to hotel. You could park at a nearby hotel, but guests said the parking rates were too high there.
negative:
Not a pleasant neighborhood
Several guests reported feeling unsafe around the Tenderloin neighborhood. They said the area seemed a little sketchy, with iron gates surrounding the hotel and lots of homeless people wandering nearby. The number of people outside can make it noisy and rowdy outside.
negative:
Shared bathroom facilities with other guests
There is a communal bathroom and guests complained that it wasn’t the cleanest. Some guests talked about leaky showers, toilets in which previous guests forgot to flush, lack of hot water and toilet paper. Many reviewers warned people to stay away.
