Superb location for enjoying New Orleans
Looking to enjoy the city, don't settle for somewhere far away from the highlights! This hotel has a perfect location just three blocks away from the St Charles line that takes you on a beautiful tour of the Lower Garden district, Tulane Univeristy, and right to the French Quarter.
positive:
Very friendly and pleasing staff
Just like most B&Bs, this one has a very gracious staff. Their love for their hotel, combined with the desire to please their guests, and their undying southern hospitality, makes this hotel's staff difficult to beat.
positive:
Fantastic facilities
You will love the ambiance and facilities at this hotel, especially in New Orleans where the city can be unbelievably hot. The rooms are clean with air-conditioning, the hotel is tranquil by comparison to the liveliness of the city, and the pool is a perfect place to relax after a night of year-round festivities.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The pool is clothing-optional
While the majority of the guests really enjoyed the pool, some guests were taken aback by the relaxed bathing suit policy. The hotel's website does state that nudity is acceptable at the pool, so if you find this to be a bit taboo then this hotel may not be for you.
negative:
Can be a bit noisy
The hotel was built in the mid 19th-century where cars, traffic, and mass population were not taken into account yet. While the majority of the guests had a pleasant experience, some guests found that it was a bit noisy at times but nothing that is intolerable.
negative:
Good breakfast but could be great
Some guests were a bit disappointed with the hotel's breakfast because it is self-service with no homemade items. Not all, but some guests were expecting a bit more from a bed & breakfast.
