About The Clarence Annex
The Clarence Annex is a luxury boutique hotel, designed to welcome adults only, close to the seafront and Portsmouth's historic dockyard.
The eight elegant guest rooms all have individually controlled air-conditioning and luxury en-suite facilities. Rooms are equipped with king sized beds, high speed Wi-Fi connection, large flat-screen LCD TV, luxury toiletries, hair-dryer, and a tea tray. Bathrobes, slippers and complimentary bottled water are included.
The Clarence Annex is a converted Edwardian residence that is an ideal place for a romantic getaway or simply a refreshing break. A number of beauty treatments are available in the hotel.
Breakfast, with a great variety of choice, is included in the price of the stay, and the hotel's bar is a comfortable location to relax and unwind. For an evening meal the group's restaurant The Kitchen is nearby.

Location.
The location of the hotel, whilst convenient and within five minutes' walk of the beach, is not immediately attractive, being on a rather shabby road, a guest bemoaned the fact that their room lacked views. Having to go to another location for an evening

The TV in the bathroom was not working, nor was the aqua idiom, and one of the showers had a slight leak and lacked really hot water. Some guests found their rooms to be somewhat on the small side.
