Featuring high-end modern furnishings, this newly renovated home is a luxurious space of beauty. Situated a mere 10-minute drive from the city centre, The Casa Sachsenland can serve as both a tranquil abode of relaxation and a quiet place to focus on work. The house accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, featuring a king-size bed and a sofa bed. The Casa Sachsenland in Details Upon entering this property through the custom-made cast iron gate, your rental is immediately on your left. This charming, renovated village cottage with its blue shutters and window boxes is adorned with a lovely front garden, enclosed with seasonal flowering bushes, trees and plants, an antique Hungarian bench, a patio with table and chairs, and a sweet micro-clover lawn. Stepping inside the house, you find yourself in the entrance hall, featuring a vintage-style coat rack and a bench where you can conveniently hang your coat, remove your shoes, and slip into a pair of complementary cosy slippers. To the left, you'll discover the door leading to the spacious living room/second bedroom. Here, you'll encounter the antique extra-large desk, a cherished family heirloom that offers ample workspace. The bespoke cream linen sofa set encompasses the sofa bed, boasting a comfortable memory foam mattress. The room is adorned with the first of three handmade traditional Romanian wool carpets. The original village home built in the 1950s consisted of just this one room. The fireplace now occupies the area that once held the entrance to the garden. In the corner of the living room, you'll notice the antique travel chest from the late 1700s. Directly ahead through the entrance, is the dining room, adorned with a splendid antique Hungarian bench and a German buffet, both newly refurbished. The central feature of the room is the upcycled table crafted from one of the original house's doors, supported by cast iron legs and adorned with elegant Spanish and Italian design tiles. These elements are complemented by the second of the handmade traditional Romanian wool carpets. Continuing through the dining room, you'll find the kitchen, with one of the two full bathrooms positioned to its left. The custom kitchen is equipped with Electrolux appliances, including a gas stove and a self-cleaning oven. The cobalt blue Spanish and Turkish design tiled backsplash beautifully contrasts with the cream-coloured MDF cabinets, granite countertops, integrated sink, and brass taps and accessories. Canadian artist-hand-painted ceramic door knobs add a unique touch. The kitchen is stocked with spices, basic cooking supplies, and all necessary cookware. The spacious bedroom showcases a king-sized firm mattress featuring Bonnell springs, accompanied by luxurious high-quality bedding and pillows. A stunning hand-painted traditional Transylvanian Saxon armoire from 1934 graces the space, complete with an internal safe. A full-length mirror and the third handmade traditional Romanian wool carpet contribute to the room's ambience. The second bathroom, serving as an ensuite for the bedroom, also houses the Electrolux washing machine. Both bathrooms boast upcycled copper sinks crafted from cookware and elegant Italian mosaic tiles. These features are offset by calming grey wall tiles and blue mosaic floor tiles, adorned with brass accessories and taps. The renovations were finalised in December 2022, encompassing a new ceramic tiled roof, insulation, double-glazed windows with mosquito screens, insulated walls, new doors, bathrooms, and a kitchen. The original hardwood floors were sanded and lacquered, offering a warm and natural tone to the home's aesthetics. * Please note that the thermo-fireplace must be turned on by your hosts.
