Guests almost all agree that the food at the Blue Lion is wonderful. There is a nice selection of meals, as well as wine and beer. So, you can be assured of being able to enjoy a good meal or drinks when you stay there.

Several guests loved the fact that their dogs were allowed to stay at the hotel. They also mentioned that the dogs enjoyed walking on the surrounding trails as much as they did. So, if you have a dog, this might be a good stop over point for both of you.

Guests overwhelmingly agree that you can't beat the location of this hotel, with its incredible scenery. It's a peaceful getaway where you can completely relax, but still easily drive to more modern locations and attractions when you want to.

Several guests commented that the wind tends to get into the guest rooms right under the door. So, if you happen to stay when it's cold or windy outside, it may also be a bit cold inside.

The facilities at the Blue Lion have not had any modern upgrades for things like soundproofing. Several guests said that, although the location itself is fairly quiet, any sound that does occur can easily be heard in the bedrooms and can be a bit annoying.

Guests agree that the Blue Lion's guest rooms could definitely do with an update. Several guests said that they felt like they were stepping back in time when they checked in, but not in a good way. They mentioned that they would have preferred furnishings that were more comfortable, and possibly more stylish as well.
