A four-star hotel with 154 rooms, the Beach Heights is a laid-back resort cum hotel situated in Kata Beach, Thailand. Karon beach is within three miles from the resort. Rooms have a traditional Thai accent to them and are equipped with 32-inch LCD television, working desk, telephone, air conditioner, tea/coffee maker and refrigerator. Bathrooms are provided with a shower, hair dryer and free toiletries. Some rooms have balconies and kitchenettes. One or two-bedroom duplexes with dining area and kitchen are also available. Onsite parking and Wi-Fi are complimentary. Services like currency exchange, luggage storage, tour/ticket assistance, baby sitting, laundry and dry cleaning can be availed by the guests. Since the resort is centrally located, the guest could venture out to the local markets and the beach very easily. It is a ten-minute walk to the Kata Beach. Unlike most of the other popular beaches, this one is very clean sand and has nice water with plenty of water sports to try out. Guests loved roaming around the surrounding markets and shops. Local restaurants and bars too are worth a visit.
Rooms are done up stylishly and well-maintained. They are very spacious and give spectacular views of the pool or garden. The queen size beds are very comfortable and rooms are provided with all the basic amenities. There are many extra goodies like dressing gown, beach bag and umbrellas kept in the room that were much appreciated by the guests.
The staff members are very accommodating and friendly. Guests were touched by their gesture to lend a helping hand at any hour of the day. Staff at the front desk has received a special mention by many guests.
Most of the guests felt that the pool was quite grubby and not maintained well. Moreover, the pool is very small, which makes it very crowded even with very few guests around.
Many guests found the Wi-Fi connection to be very patchy and unreliable as it kept disconnecting time and again.
Few guests found insects like ants roaming around in all corners of the room, which was not a very pleasant sight.
