Positive Reviews
positive:
Small and quiet
The hotel is located in a small building and is a quaint choice for New York. The smallness, though, means guests have more personal service. This equates to excellent customer service etiquette, especially in the after-hours with busy and harried travelers.
positive:
Reasonably priced
The hotel is reasonably priced and the stay is a reasonable accommodation. The rooms are clean and functional and guests don't have to sacrifice comfort for the cheaper room prices. In addition, there is a fitness center and free breakfast each day, adding to the value.
positive:
Johnny on the spot
The hotel is great for those who need a quick, unscheduled stay. The overnight accommodations are tailored for those who get stuck traveling and there are always rooms available, even late at night. Even better than the quick response to a room is a quick shuttle pickup.
Negative Reviews
negative:
So much noise
This hotel is a noisy choice. It is close to many expressways and byways and sits right on a main road. The hotel is located in a busy neighborhood which isn't the nicest. There are some questions of safety and definite complaints to the neighbors who are up all night playing music. The ground floors are the worst as those rooms get kitchen noise, elevators noise, and noise from loud feet on tile.
negative:
Only good for a night
The rooms are incredibly small and have no space for stretching out or unpacking. It is clearly meant to capture those who need sleep. The lobby and fitness area are also quite small.
negative:
Shuttle standards
The hotel shuttle has strict rules about calling for service, waiting for service, and receiving service. Make sure you abide by the rules or you'll be left waiting. There is free parking at the hotel, but it is only street parking and very limited. The best spots are reserved for those who pay fees.
