Seasoned campers who have been to a lot of caravan and camping parks commented that there was really good space between the campsites and that there was ample space to park their cars next to their caravans and tents.

For younger guests, there’s a playground and an activities program (school holidays only). This park also offers free Sandcruiser Beach Wheelchair hire. There are BBQ grills on-site and a grocery store within a five-minute walk of the park. Dining spots in the area include Gianni’s and the Promenade Room. This park lies within an eight-minute drive of the Nelson Bay Lighthouse and the Gan Gan Lookout.

Parents travelling with their kids were disappointed that the park did not have a pool or a playground to keep the kids amused. Guests said the park was not really family or kid friendly.
A lot of people who left negative reviews about the park focused on the price of the campsites and cabins, with many not happy about the fact that there was no seniors discount and that the price was adjusted upwards during peak times. Guests also said that the park needed to be better maintained, for the prices that were charged.
Guests warned future visitors that they had better like rabbits before visiting the park. Guests complained that there was an abundance of rabbit droppings and guests travelling with their pets said that the rabbits often set their animals off.
