Hotel Sandwell House (Blackpool, United Kingdom)

Thanks to the Sandwell House being positioned in between the town centre and Pleasure Beach, the guesthouse is ideally situated near most of the major attractions Blackpool has to offer. The Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens and aforementioned Pleasure Beach are all 20 minutes or less away on foot.

The hosts at this guesthouse are one of the big positives in its favour. Nearly every previous guest was unanimous in their praise of the hospitality displayed by the hosts, saying that they would go out of their way to help whenever possible.

Despite a couple of problems such as the soundproofing not being the best, most guests reported that they enjoyed a comfortable night’s sleep at the Sandwell House. The rooms are nice and clean, while the beds are comfy.

While the shared bathroom is not ideal in the first place, it has been said by past guests that this area of the guesthouse does not maintain a high level of cleanliness.

The rooms at the Sandwell House are very basic, with only standard amenities such a television and tea/coffee making facilities included. In addition, guests have stated that the décor is dated in terms of appearance.

One problem that has been brought up in the past is that the rooms can get cold. Along with previous guests saying that they didn’t have any heating in their rooms, it was also mentioned that the windows were only single glazed – resulting in the rooms being chilly at times.
