Hotel San Giorgio is ideally located to reach Florence’s main attractions on foot. Within 10-minutes walk of the hotel, guests can reach the Santa Maria Novella Basilica and Museum, Santa Maria Novella Square and the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo). The Florence Academy of Fine Arts where artworks such as Michelangelo's David are housed is also just 10-minutes’ walk away. Ponte Vecchio is a 12-minutes walk away.

The building is historic and charming. Inside the hotel is well appointed, decorated in modern design and the air conditioning is a welcome relief in the summer months. Guest rooms are also clean, simply furnished and comfortable.

The staff are friendly and approachable, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Any questions you or assistance needed is provided in a friendly and efficient manner.

Basic breakfast.
Some guest found the breakfast offered to be ok, but nothing to write home about. A limited selection of dishes are offered. Guests suggest to explore the local area and have breakfast at one of the local cafes.

In need of care.
Some guests commented that the hotel was old and furnished with outdated furniture and decor. In some areas the carpets were stained and worn, and some rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. Walls were dirty and paint peeling away. Cleanliness was not always of a high standard, with the rooms and bathrooms not being thoroughly cleaned. Mould was also found growing in the bathroom.
