Peaceful yet convenient location.
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area which meant that guests were able to enjoy peaceful and tranquil evenings. Many said that they found the location very handy for local amenities as they were able to walk to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. Being within easy walking distance from parks, museums and many other points of interest was said to be another advantage of staying here.

Guests appreciated the old-world charm of the historic hotel and the numerous vintage features such as the pedestal sinks and elegant chandeliers. Despite the age of the building, many were pleased to find that their rooms were equipped with all the necessary mod-cons such as minifridges and air-conditioning.

Upon arrival many said that they were greeted with a smile by the front-desk staff who were described as being friendly and courteous at all times. The majority were impressed with the pro-active attitude of the staff who were often willing to go out of their way in order to assist the guests and make them feel well-looked after.

Rooms on the small side.
The standard-type rooms have been described as being quite small with guests stating that they had little space to move around in between the furniture. The bathrooms were also said to be rather tight with many stating that they had nowhere to place their toiletries.

Guests said that the decor in the rooms would benefit from modernisation as they noticed peeling wallpapers, worn carpets and tatty-looking upholstery.

Due to inadequate soundproofing quite a few guests reported being disturbed by noise from the hallways as well as the adjoining rooms which they said prevented them from having an enjoyable stay.
