Hotel Richmond Green (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

The hotel is located near the mall of Emirates. It is also within walking distance to other attractions in the vicinity. There is also a small grocery shop just a few feet away.

It's a basic, simple facility with traditional furnishings, which is great! That's all you need for a good night's sleep, especially if you are a business traveller.

Things move quickly and efficiently without too much hassle. Rooms are large, comfortable, and the shower has regular hot water. Wi-Fi is superb and free. Sites like YouTube play videos without any interruptions.

There is no parking, or very little parking, and there's not much help in finding any from the hotel either. In fact, don't bother to ask as they will just ignore your requests. Actually, the staff could do with a bit of customer service training.

The hotel towels are old, over washed, and over used. They could do with a completely new set of linens. It's a budget hotel and in this area it really shows a lack of standards in the hospitality department.

You may find that the rooms are dark and appear clean with a quick glance. However, upon closer inspection more attention to detail is needed. There's an odd smell that permeates the main floor; however, it is not in the rooms. There is also plenty of construction going on, but that is to be expected in Dubai.
