Hotel Red Roof PLUS+ Williams - Grand Canyon (Williams, USA)

Guests really liked the location of the hotel. They said that it was well situated within Willaims, with the town’s amenities well within walking distance. They also felt that the hotel, and Williams as a whole, was a good base when visiting the Grand Canyon. The South Rim and its lookouts were said to be a relatively short drive away.

Guests were actually pretty happy with the breakfast. While it is described as a continental breakfast, guests felt they got more than what they usually understood by that term. There were said to be a variety of foods on offer, all tasty and well prepared.

Many guests mentioned that they got great local advice and recommendations from the reception staff during their stay.

Although guests accepted it was a budget hotel, they thought the rooms were too dated even for this category. They felt that the hotel had not been updated for decades and desperately needed one now if the hotel was to remain competitive, low room rates or not.

Guests were very clearly unhappy with the state of cleanliness at the hotel. Both the rooms and public areas were said to be quite dirty, leading some guests to feel uncomfortable about occupying their room or eating on the premises.

Guests reported that it looked like some rooms of the hotel were used by long term residents, believed to be part of a government housing program. Some mentioned having run-ins with drunk long term residents and the hotel staff being unwilling to do anything about it.
