Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location for beach and nightlife
The location was by far what most impressed guests about Planas. While not directly on the beach, it is just a bit back, and most rooms seem to have sea vies. But it was not so much the views that impressed, but the proximity to the promenade. Guests had, after all, booked a beach break, and were happy that it was just a short stroll to get to the golden sands.
positive:
Good breakfast
Several guests expressed their surprise that the buffet breakfast at the hotel was not too bad. It was described as a decent spread, with enough variety and quantity to set them up for the day.
positive:
Free air conditioning
Many guests travelling in summer expressed their relief that their unit had air conditioning, and that it was effective. Considering the heat, they couldn't imagine having a good holiday without it. Some also commented they were happy that the hotel didn't charge extra for it, a practice they didn't seem to approve of.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise from the street
Unfortunately, it seems that guests pay for the prime location close to the beach and nightlife by having to endure some noise disturbing their sleep at night. Guests specifically mentioned noise from cars zooming by, and also from revellers leaving the bars.
negative:
Rooms a bit old fashioned
Guests didn't really seem to like the room décor much. Those commenting on it typically called it old fashioned, and in need of an update.
negative:
BBC World 24/7
A couple of guests mentioned that this was the only English language station available on TV. While some did want to keep abreast of developments while on holiday, they felt that, considering the large number of English speaking guests at the hotel, there really should have been more English channels available.
