Positive Reviews
positive:
Power showers really are the business.
If you're someone who enjoys being thoroughly massaged by bullets of high-pressure water then you'll fall in love with The Phoenix's en-suite power showers. These bad boys make you feel reborn within seconds of you putting your head under the torrent!
positive:
Property is a visual treat.
Immaculate interiors decorated in a contemporary fashion and sophisticated rooms with stylish décors; the inside of this hotel is about as contrary to that of a traditional seaside guest house as it's possible get. And it's definitely much the better for it.
positive:
Staff are supremely courteous.
A welcoming smile and an enthusiastic manner go a long way in the hospitality industry. Fortunately, both of these attributes make frequent appearances amid the Phoenix's staff members, as does the steely determination to ensure every guest receives everything they need to enjoy a suitably pleasant stay. Excellent customer service skills at work here.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some issues with parking.
The car park which guests are afforded free access to (with their voucher) is shut every night at 23.00. This means that, should you choose to drive somewhere for a night out, you'll more than likely have to find an alternative place to park when you arrive back.
negative:
No breakfasts??.
It's a bit of a culture shock to not at least be offered a breakfast option of some kind at a seaside B&B. That being said, this approach does help to keep costs down and there are plenty of cafes and bistros located close by.
negative:
But that's about it...
If you don't mind keeping a 'Plan B' in mind with your parking and aren't bothered by a lack of breakfast options then chances are you'll really enjoy your time at what is essentially a very pleasant place to stay.
