Positive Reviews
positive:
Stunning features.
The roof terrace is a favourite spot for many guests. With stunning views across Rome, it's the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine as the sun goes down, after a busy day sightseeing. Other nice features include the grand staircase and stained glass dotted around the building.
positive:
Central location.
The hotel enjoys a spectacular location close to all the main sights; with Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Mouth of Truth within walking distance. It is just yards from Trajan's Column and the Spanish Steps, and is close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants and cafes.
positive:
Excellent, filling breakfasts.
While some would like to see a cooked breakfast option, most find the continental offering at the hotel satisfactory. An excellent variety of good-quality food is provided and coffee is second to none. The breakfast is buffet-style but there is plenty available and it is re-stocked regularly.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Room for improvement.
Previous guests have suggested that maintenance and general cleanliness at the hotel could be improved. Bed linen and towels are changed daily but some find rooms a little dusty and think regular deep-cleans would make a big difference. Others have reported issues with their air conditioning and showers.
negative:
Prone to noise in parts.
The hotel is situated fairly close to a busy road and, as such, you may experience some noise disturbance if your room faces in that direction. Rooms at the rear of the hotel are quieter, although most find they notice the usual City centre level of noise wherever they are located.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi.
If you wish to use the Wi-Fi you will need to log-on every time. Guests often experience slow connection speeds and find the service difficult to use for anything more than ready an email or two.
