The staff manages to present a warm and welcoming presentation. They are helpful, friendly, and accommodating, for the most part. They are certainly attentive to any issues you might encounter.

The hotel provides a great view overlooking the pier and the Menai Strait. The views alone enhance the hotel's ambiance giving you a relaxed feeling and makes your stay more interesting.

If you don't want to eat at the hotel, there is no shortage of places to fill your tummy. The choices are quite decent. For example, there is the Tap and Spile pub serving genuine ale and good pub grub. An Italian restaurant is located at the end of the parking area on the pier, and the Whistlestop Café is great for lunch.

The breakfast area is a bit dodgy. When they finally get to you and take your order, you may be in for a surprise about what is served in front of you. Food that should be warm, like toast, is served cold. Not only that, you may find your meal served on a cold plate. There's nothing appetizing about the morning meal at this place.

The décor is a bit old fashioned though they try to keep it relatively clean. A little refurbishment would help.

The steep steps are a challenge. After walking up the steps you feel as though you deserve some type of medal! The steps are on the interior and exterior of the facility.
