Staff are very welcoming and always polite and well mannered. They really do go above and beyond to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay here and are only too happy to give directions for the local area or to recommend places to see or the best restaurants to visit with staff on the front desk receiving particular praise for their professional and attentive manner.
The buffet breakfast has a wide selection of both hot and cold foods and is a great way to start the day. There are plenty of healthy options such fruit, yoghurt and fresh salmon along with cheese, eggs and cooked meats. Staff also do a really good job of keeping things stocked up so if you get down there later than others there will still be enough left to fill you up.
As the name suggest Düsseldorf’s famous Königsallee is just a short walk away where you will find many different shops including famous designer labels. There are also many different bars and restaurants within the immediate vicinity of the hotel in addition to the Old Town being just a short walk away.
Air conditioning is only available in a handful of rooms on one floor which means that at times it can get too hot particular in the warmer summer months.
Rooms are not cleaned thoroughly enough and housekeeping seems quite disorganised with rooms cleaned at different times on different days and often left until the late afternoon which can be a disturbance to guests.
The beds are not very comfortable especially the double beds which are just two single beds pushed together so there is a ridge in the middle.
