Hotel rooms in Tokyo can be very expensive, but many guests mentioned that this property provides good value for the price, especially when you take the location into account.

Some guests raved about how hard the staff works. While there have been reports of a language barrier being present, since most of the staff have very limited English skills, the majority of guests were able to effectively communicate with the staff whenever it was necessary.

Some guests complained that the rooms at New Star Ikebukuro are quite small and, therefore, they didn't have much space in which to relax. Other guests, however, stated that this is normal for Japan and that there was no problem with the rooms.
