About Mikolajska 5 Apartments
Situated in a fully restored 16th century
property in the very heart of the Old Town, Mikolajska 5 Apartments
offers guests ultra-modern self-catering accommodation.
Each apartment has been individually decorated and furnished with great care. They are fully equipped and feature separate sleeping and lounge/dining areas and kitchenettes.
These are apartment rentals, rather than an apart-hotel, so there are few public facilities. Reception is at a nearby sister property and is open 24/7.
There are no on-site restaurants, but the Old Town has a host of great dining options. Reception staff at the sister property will be happy to offer personal recommendations if required.
The main attraction is, of course, the surrounding streets of the Old Town, an all the have to offer. The ancient Market Square is just steps away, and the Wawel Royal Castle is 0.7 miles to the south.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable location in the Old Town
Of course it had to be the location that guests most appreciated about the apartments. Most had come to Krakow to experience the streetlife and nightlife, and perhaps see a few of the sights. They found the location ideal, and were well able to walk almost anywhere they cared to be.
positive:
Exceptionally well furnished apartments
Guests were nearly unanimous in their praise of the décor in the apartments. They considered them exceptionally well designed. They gave them the feeling of being at the heart of very trendy scene. For the most part they agreed that the marketing photos did accurately reflect their room.
positive:
Very clean apartments
Guests were very happy to report that their apartment was spotlessly clean when they arrived. No guest felt they needed to do a bit of their own cleaning before they could be comfortable in the apartment.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lots of internal noise
Unfortunately, several guests reported that there really does not seem to be any sort of soundproofing between the rooms. As a result, they could hear the goings on in adjacent rooms almost as if they were going on in there own. Light sleepers should consider bringing earplugs.
negative:
Check in at a sister property
Although most guests did not have any issues checking in, the fact is that there are no permanent staff on-site. Keys are sometimes arranged to be collected at the apartments, and sometimes at a nearby sister property. On occasion these arrangements don't work so smoothly, resulting in a bit of frustration and inconvenience.
negative:
No lift
A couple of guests mentioned that there was no lift in the building, and also no real assistance on-site. Guests will have to carry there own bags upstairs, so those with mobility issues should take note.
