With its traditional architecture and charming pool terrace, Mezcal Hostel offers travellers relaxed budget accommodation with a funky design and popular poolside bar. Both private rooms and dorms are available. The rooms are decorated in warm colours and feature cooling tile floors and flat screen TV’s. The pool terrace is very much the centre of the action at Mezcal Hostel. Aside from the pool it features intimate seating areas, a garden and of course an immensely popular pool bar. Breakfast and dinner are both available onsite, but given the location of the hostel, in the centre of the commercial district, there are many authentic “non-touristy” Mexican restaurants in the area for those who really enjoy this cuisine. Mezcal Hostel prides itself on being able to offer great activities, both day and night. Day activities range from catamaran trips to jungle tours, while night activities usually involve visiting some of the cities best clubs.
Going through the reviews, it became clear that the happiest of all guests were those who had come to Cancun to party (yes, as a verb). It was mentioned that the pool bar does great business day and night, and that there was an all round excellent atmosphere with drinking games and other activities.
While new guests should reconfirm with the hostel, many past guests were astonished to discover that their rate included not only free breakfast, but also free dinner, both of which were described as very decent meals.
