Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific location near Empire State Building
This was by far what guests most appreciated about the
apartments. They had come to New York
to experience the heart of the city and were very happy with the location. It was
described as in the Koreatown neighbourhood of Midtown and just steps from the Empire
State Building.
positive:
Some rooms with exposed brick walls
A number of guests commented that their apartment had exposed brick walls, which to them gave it a bit of a trendy loft feel. This helped them feel a bit more like a local, rather than a tourist in an anonymous hotel.
positive:
Good value for money
Considering the incredible central location, many guests were able to overlook a problem here and there and conclude that they had received a very good room-rate, resulting in excellent value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Staff onsite only limited hours
A number of guests were surprised to find that the apartments were rented by an agency and that staff members who could check them in and answer queries were onsite only a very limited number of hours every day. Most had been expecting an apart-hotel with full-time staff on the premises.
negative:
Some maintenance and cleanliness issues
A solid minority of guests were unhappy with the stare of their apartment on check in. They mentioned that it had not been cleaned properly, with a few even saying that they saw cockroaches scurrying around. General maintenance failings were also mentioned by some guests.
negative:
Units vary in quality
Many guests who left generally positive reviews mentioned that it seemed the quality of the apartments available did vary quite a bit and they were lucky in receiving one of the better ones. Those allocated smaller or unrenovated apartments were considerably less happy.
