Decent breakfast
Though the breakfast is a fairly simple continental affair, many guests seemed to greatly enjoy it. They were certainly happy that it was available in the hotel and included in their room-rate. That way they didn't have to find a suitable restaurant for the first meal of the day, when they really just wanted to be on their way.

A couple of guests went out of their way to say how comfortable the beds were. Considering there really weren't any complaints, one might conclude that the hotel has actually managed to select a mattress with very broad appeal.

Convenient location near the interstate
While the hotel is some way from downtown Richmond, this did not seem to bother any guest. Most appreciated that the hotel was very easy to get to and from, being situated right off the I-95.

Looking very tired
While there were indications in May 2016 that the whole property was undergoing a major renovation, guests in unrenovated rooms felt they were in a very sorry state indeed and not really suitable to be offered to guests. Until the project is complete, guests are advised to specifically request a remodeled room.

The hotel was undergoing what appeared to be a major renovation project as of May 2016. Guests mention issues one might expect in such circumstances, including construction noise, dust and disruption.

Fitness center in poor shape
While not mentioned often, it was reported that the fitness center had a couple of problems. For a start, it was small, with a limited range of equipment available. Secondly, and even worse, guests said several of those machines didn't work, either properly or at all.
