It's an easy walk to many shops and cafes from the beautifully kept grounds of Kona Islander Inn, while many guests even take a brisk walk to town, where there is an abundance of unique gift shops and great eateries close by.

Although the kitchen is small, travelers say it is very well-equipped with all the best utensils needed to prepare any meal you wish. Most of the luxuries from home are available for use, while the kitchen also doubles up as the social area at the end of the day.

Most visitors appreciate the beautiful shoreline from the rooms of Kona Islander Inn, while the view over the sea is even more stunning. Even the gardens views are interesting with the many banana trees around.

Many travelers were not pleased with the state of cleanliness when it came to the rooms. Some guests found old clothes left behind, while others were concerned about the level of dust and dirt in the apartment in general. Most guests just cleaned up themselves before settling down.

Although Wi-Fi is supposed to be free of charge, almost all guests said they could not connect at all. Some guests were pretty frustrated about the connection issues, so if you rely on a good connection, you should bring your own cable with.
