Well situated for the National Sports Stadium and the Aquatic Centre, Joyfor Backpackers offers budget accommodation in a converted four storey traditional shop front. All accommodation is in simple dorm rooms which feature air conditioning and bunk beds. Bathroom facilities are shared. Joyfor Backpackers has a communal lounge were guests can relax and socialise. The owners are very keen photographers, with some of their best work displayed in the lounge and elsewhere in the hostel. A 24-hour front desk and keycard access provide guests with peace of mind. Breakfast is served daily and casual fast food and drinks are available in the lounge the rest of the day. The area around the National Sports Stadium has a number of fun attractions, including the Splash and Surf water park, with rides and pools that best suit younger children. Those more interested in shopping will find the city’s famous Orchard Road 3.5 miles to the west.
