Positive Reviews
positive:
Five-Star Facility
Countless reviewers attest to the exceptionally high-standards of cleanliness maintained throughout the hotel, with more than one declaring it the cleanest hotel they've ever stayed in. Hard-working, smiling housekeepers attend rooms daily to ensure that everything from the carpets to bathroom surfaces remain spotless.
positive:
Perfect Pool
Families are kept happy for hours on end at the well-maintained pool. And while parents spend an afternoon relaxing in the hot tub, young ones love the world-class waterslide—a reason in itself that many families return here repeatedly. Guests would like longer opening hours at the pool.
positive:
Stupendous Situation
Perhaps the most oft-quoted reason for reviewers to return to this property is its excellent location. Just off the highway, close to the subway and surrounded by great shopping and eating options, Canada's Wonderland and Black Creek Pioneer Village are both hugely popular attractions and easily accessed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Light-Sleepers Beware
Among the small list of guest gripes is the occasional issue of noise. Sounds from guests in hallways and partying patrons on the busy streets outside effect some light-sleepers, while loud air-con units and noisy plumbing bothers others. Pack a set of earplugs, just in case.
negative:
Run Down Rooms
The ageing décor in some rooms annoys the occasional visitor accustomed to higher standards from the brand. While reviewers are invariably appeased by the high standards of cleanliness maintained in guestrooms, dated and sometimes broken furnishings frustrates the occasional guest who believe a little TLC is in order.
negative:
Maddening Mattresses
A worrying amount of reviewers complain of a restless night's sleep on account of bothersome beds. Poor quality mattresses are too small for some and too soft for others. Pull-out sofa beds are smaller and have spring mattresses. Some declare the beds the worst they've ever slept in.
