Pubs can be noisy places but the B+B (*or bed only) accommodation is in a separate chalet section so there is little disturbance as a result of pub based activities.

Only just over twenty miles from Hull; it’s a similar trip to York so it’s an easy jaunt for the day but without the inflated accommodation costs associated with York itself.

An ideal option for those who want to spend time in an authentic village atmosphere and relax into it all in the company of pub visiting locals. There’s a nice welcome, too, from the owners of the inn.

The room facilities are minimal to say the least and don’t even include soap. The tariff, though, is mid-range so some facilities are reasonably expected, rather than none!

Not the good, wholesome feast you might expect in rural Yorkshire. For example; no fruit juice, nasty sausages, cheap coffee and you really can tell the difference between the stuff they serve and butter! Not a pleasant experience.

It's served in the bar. Certainly first thing in the morning, it seems to be suffering from the night before and not a welcoming place for breakfast.
