A good location for an early flight
If you are trying to catch an early flight out, then this is a great place to spend the night. Located 1.5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, it's a quick and easy drive and the hotel provides airport shuttle service for a fee. You are also only 9.8 miles from downtown Los Angeles where you'll find entertainments and eateries galore.
positive:
This is a non-smoking property
This hotel is a non-smoking hotel which is great for those who don't imbibe and like their room to smell fresh, rather than like stale, second-hand smoke.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The Wi-Fi is spotty
The Internet connection can be iffy at Wingate by Wyndham Los Angeles International Airport LAX which could be problematic if you are travelling on business or need to get an email out in a hurry. The reception seems to be more consistent in the public spaces, so at least you do have an option.
negative:
Pets are not allowed
Other than service animal, pets are not welcome here which is unfortunate for those who like to travel with their favorite canine companions.
negative:
The airport shuttle can be slow
Because traffic in Los Angeles can be heavy and slow, the airport shuttle can be caught running drastically behind schedule. In order to avoid being in a rush or missing your flight altogether, be sure to take an earlier shuttle than you think you need to, so you can arrive at the airport in plenty of time.
