Hôtel Le Bonne Entente (Québec-City, Canada)

Rooms at Chateau Bonne Entente are spacious, elegant and comfortable, with beautiful furnishings and a chic French feel; most guests love the décor.

The outdoor space at the hotel is complimented by most guests; the gardens are vast and well kept, the pool and hot tub can be enjoyed at particular times of year, and the waterfall and ponds dotted around the grounds make for a relaxing place to wander after a day's sightseeing.

There are numerous dining options, so you're bound to find one which meets your personal taste. While some previous guests have commented that prices are fairly high, the majority feel the cost is fair, portions are generous and the quality of the food is excellent.

The hotel is around 8km from downtown Quebec, which you may find is a little too far. For those who drive, however, plenty of parking is available on-site and, if not, the hotel does run a complimentary shuttle to the city centre and airport.

Some guests do have criticisms of the sleeping arrangements; with some suggestion that the bedding supplied in Summer is too warm and mattresses have seen better days (with some sagging in the middle). Although, many others have stated how they have enjoyed an excellent nights sleep.

While most have only good things to say about the quality of the food served at the hotel, there is mention of service not being quite up to standard. Staff are friendly and helpful, but service- particularly at breakfast, can be on the slow side.
