About Hôtel de France et de Russie

The Hôtel de France et de Russie, is a beautifully restored former eighteenth century post-house, situated in the centre of Thiviers, opposite the Town Hall and near to the railway station. This elegant, luxury, 3 star hotel is furnished with fine antiques and offers you the charm and comfort of a beautiful home. There is a pretty garden, a terrace and private guest parking to the rear. It is open 365 days a year. English and French are spoken. We have an attractive lounge bar, large dining room, a sunny conservatory and a guest sitting room, with English television. We welcome pilgrims following the World Heritage route from Vezélay to Santiago de Compostella, which passes right in front of the hotel gates. We have an on site gourmet restaurant called L'Escapade des Sens. The Restaurant serves lunch from noon to 14h00 every day except Monday, and dinner from19h30 to 21h30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We would strongly advise booking the restaurant in advance.
