Negative Reviews
negative:
Some wear and tear showing
Visitors do say that D'Argenson this is still a beautiful hotel, however it is starting to show signs of wear and tear, and would benefit from a good facelift. Light fittings are dusty, and carpets are a bit worn down. Nonetheless guests do appreciate the history associated with this beautiful building..
negative:
Beds, not so great
If you like a really firm to hard bed then you will be ok, however for most guests the beds were not comfortable at all. Mattresses were considered to be a little to firm, and many guests did request a softer mattress.
negative:
Noisy corridors
Because this is an older building, the walls and floors do not have the modern soundproofing that some of the more modern hotels have. The result, according to some visitors, is that you might just be disturbed during the night with guests returning to their rooms.
